Around the world, April 26th was celebrated as World IP Day.

The aims of World IP Day are:

• to raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trademarks and designs impact on daily life;
• to increase understanding of how protecting IP rights helps promote creativity and innovation;
• to celebrate creativity, and the contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe;
• to encourage respect for the IP rights of others.

In Phoenix, we had a nice gathering, organized primarily by Brad DeSandro and local members ofLicensing Executives Society International. Old connections were re-established and new contacts were made. It was a very nice event, and we’re hoping that we’ll have many more gatherings in the near future. Hats off to Brad and everyone else involved!!
